LSB Giving Back: Part 5
November 20, 2009 -- Lincoln Savings Bank (LSB) demonstrates our commitment to the communities we serve in a variety of ways. Our Core Value of “Passionate Community Stewardship” is achieved, in large part, through sponsorships, donations and employee volunteerism. Many of our employees spend countless hours serving local organizations. LSB is highlighting how our employees “Give Back” to the communities through volunteer efforts. Below you will find Part 5 of this series, featuring LSB's Greene Office Employees: Dan Castle, Senior Vice President and Regional Office Supervisor, has served on numerous boards and organizations over the years. Currently, Dan serves as President of the Greene Development Corporation, a position he has held since 1985. The Greene Development Corporation is a non-profit organization that owns a 22 acre industrial park. The purpose of the Corporation is to bring jobs to the Greene area. The industrial park has three businesses that employ approximately 65 people, with 13 acres remaining for development. Through the work of the Corporation and the businesses, they have brought a significant economic boost to the community. John Barth, Assistant Vice President and Office Manager, serves as Vice President of the Greene Commercial Club. The Greene Commercial Club does a number of events for the community, including an Easter Egg Hunt, Ridiculous Day and Greene Shamrock Day. John also volunteers at Round Grove Golf & Country Club and serves on the grounds committee and Fall Festival at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Ashley Coake, Client Service Associate, is a Sunday school helper at St Peter’s Lutheran Church as well as serving on the Fall Festival committee. Bobbi Jo Spainhower, Client Service Associate, is a member of Friends of the Library, a volunteer member of the Little Bearcat Sports and a primary teacher for St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Judy Viers, Client Service Associate, is a volunteer at the Volunteer Ambulance Supper and church activities for St. Mary's Church.
